Do I still need to carry a copy of my medical card?
As a DOT certified medical examiner offering DOT medical cards in Ogden Utah I want to keep everyone up to date on regulations. As of now medical examiners are required to use the old exam form until December 22, 2015. Medical examiners are also required to provide drivers with a paper copy of the medical examiner’s certificate. Starting December 22, 2015 the national registry system will give medical examiners the new exam form. Medical examiners will then be allowed to give drivers 45 days to obtain additional medical information.
Starting June 22, 2018 there will be some changes to the way people in Ogden, UT get their DOT physicals. Drivers will no longer need to carry paper copies of their medical card. The information will be transmitted from the national registry of certified medical examiners to the state drivers license agency.
