Intrastate Vs. Interstate
As an Ogden Utah DOT physical location we get a lot of drivers wondering about Intrastate Vs. Interstate. This blog post will try to help people understand when they need to be Intrastate and when they need to be Interstate.
Intrastate only should be marked as no if a driver operated or plans on operating a commercial motor vehicle in interstate commerce. This should still be done if they operate a vehicle less than the 26,001 pounds (which does not require a CDL). A drive operates in Interstate commerce if they drive across a state line or carries a load originating or terminating outside the state.
