Drug test.

As a Utah DOT physical exam location I get asked about drug tests a lot. Driver's want to know if the DOT exam has a drug test. The answer is no. Drug tests are not part of the DOT physicals in Utah. However, if you employee (or are self-employed) drivers you must conduct regular random drug tests. The FMCSA recommends quarterly random tests. 50% of your employees need to randomly drug test yearly. 10% of your employees need to have random alcohol tests done yearly.
